A Few Good Days...

In the last couple of days Jacob has been steady and stable while on the lower vent settings. His heart is pumping the blood to his lungs, and his lungs, with the help of the vent, have been able to do their job of getting rid of the CO2, with a few ups and downs in between. We are making it through the weekend and ready to see what the next moment may hold for us. We are still unsure of when the next surgery will be, but hopeful that it will be early this coming week. Who knows, in the NICU that may change from moment to moment.

Jeff and I are SO thankful to the doctors and nurses for their years of dedication that has allowed them to provide the kind of care Jacob has required. It is humbling to be a parent that is reliant on the skills of others to care for your newborn son. We will see where the next step takes us.

Here's a few pictures we snapped from the past few days of Jacob.

  4. Hi there Mrs. Tulley. We know you from Cole Elementary, but we also attend Christ Church. Our daughter isn't aware of all that is going on but she knows that you have had the baby. She and Jessie Owens are best friends and they are always talking about Mrs. Tulley and how nice you are. My husband Vik and I are in constant prayer and we are praying just what you ask for. If you need food or anything, please feel free to let me know. We love you and I can't wait to see Baby Jacob eat his first cake and smash it everywhere!! I believe in Miracles. Kalyn is a miracle and so am I. One day, we will chat about that! God is a Miracle Worker and each time I come to the blog, I see Jacob and say, Wow God! YOU ARE SUPER DUPER AWESOME!
    With much Love!
    Vik, Shalawn and Kalyn

  5. I am Hannah and Hunter Hood's Nene and I just wanted you to know that at our church yesterday both bible fellowship and worship were about persistent prayer and having faith. I firmly believe you and Jeff have both in abundance. God is Great and All Powerful and He asks us to pray fearless for what we need and want. Keep showing your amazing faith and strength in God as you are all such a testiment to His love and mercy. It is such an honor to know you all through this blog and my Bible Fellowship Class and my husband and I are persistenly praying for all of you.

  7. Julie and Jeff,
I love the pictures (especially the low rider one--reminds me of Jeremy with Ethan). Please keep posting the pictures and providing your "extended" family with these updates as we all are praying for your little Jacob. Remember that all things are possible with God. Jacob is a fighter and made in God's image.
We love you all and you are a constant in our thoughts and prayers.
    Love,
    Ryan & Jeremy

  9. Hello,
Little Jacob is so adorable. We are continueing to keep you all in prayer, praying for continued and renewed strength, and continued miracles for little Jacob. Your faith and patience is inspiring. And God is so awesome. It is kind of humbling to actually see the proof, that God can and will use whoever, and whatever situation for his purpose. The things he is doing in your life, and in Little Jacobs time here so far, are amazing!! God is GOOD, ALL the time, and He shows His goodness and Greatness to those who will ask!! We love you you all, and we continue to keep you in our prayers.
