Jacob loved music class this summer. Each week he would go to class and sing, dance, run, and play instruments. It was a great time!
Here's Jacob playing a big drum...
Of course, Jacob loved Ms. Rachel, his teacher!
There were many things we loved about "The Music Class..." It incorporated LOTS of gross motor activities, understanding musical rhythmic and tonal patterns, and was fun socially for Jacob, as he was such an observer of the kids and teacher. We liked it so much we signed him up for fall sessions too.
There's nothing like a $3 Basketball Hoop, found at a church sale, to provide endless amount of play and entertainment! Don't make fun of the orange soccer ball that we use as a "basketball," it was all we could find at the store...and when you get to the video you can try to just tune me out! ;)
Jacob spends a majority of his day trying to get Jackson to do things that he doesn't really want to do. When Jackson is standing, he will grab Jackson by the head and say, "lay down." When we are eating, he will tell Jackson to "back up," which is something Jackson really doesn't want to do because that would mean no dropped food. Ha! But, on this day, Jackson didn't seem to mind wearing a hat that Jacob gave him. Is this the beginning of Jackson's giving up?!?! Probably not! Ha!
