The Boy Who Refuses to Sleep...

This is the boy who refuses to fall asleep during naptime...who finally fell asleep in the middle of the doorway while playing.  Notice, Deon is right under his head...Interesting!!!!

Too funny!

We are pleased to announce to the blogging world, that we are having a very HEALTHY baby girl.  We had a wonderful ultrasound yesterday.  Jacob was with us, and when we told him it was a girl (just like he predicted) he said, "Ok, we done."  HA!  There were a few other things to look at, but according to him we were done!  I have to admit there were tears shed all around and kleenex came in handy when we received the report that said there were no abnormalities.  My due date is supposed to be some time around September 2...but who knows when Baby Girl Tuley will make her entrance into the world.  Thank you to all the many prayers that were going up on our behalf.  It was a beautiful day for our family and we praise God for that blessing!

A Morning at Centennial Park

Yesterday morning we were downtown for storytime, so we decided to go a little further uptown and walk around Centennial Park afterward, just for fun. Jacob hadn't ever been there before, despite living in this city his whole life! Ha! Here's some pictures from our morning!

Jacob LOVES American Flags right now.  He finds them everywhere we go.  So I thought this bench was appropriate for him!  :-)

Of course we had to go to the playground on the other side of the park (which I did not know existed until yesterday).  Swinging is his FAVORITE!

Easter 2012

Happy Easter.  He is Risen!  

We spent the weekend doing many things with Jacob to celebrate Easter; and egg hunt at church on Saturday, pictures with the Easter bunny, decorating eggs at home, and celebrating the resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday.

Of all the eggs that surrounded him on the ground, he picked only this one.  Ha!  Maybe he was leaving the rest for other kids to find!  So funny!

He found one in the nook of the tree trunk.

Happy Easter!

News...

That's right!  We are expecting baby number 2 to arrive around August 29th.  We are excited, nervous, and hopeful!  Please pray that we can have a "normal" miraculous pregnancy and birth.    We are currently 15 weeks, and will have an ultrasound around 20 weeks to make sure anatomy is normal and also to find out if we're having a boy or a girl...  Stay tuned!

Recovering...

Somewhere amidst the fun of the weekend, Jacob got a nasty cold/virus.  He's been coughing, not able to sleep well, and his nose has been running like crazy!  So, for the past few days we have been taking it easy around here.  We're resting, rocking, and drinking lots of orange juice!  Ha! 

I've been working on a video for Jacob to end the January Journals, but still trying to figure out how to post it...Any bloggers out there know how to do this on the new interface?!?!?!

Football Party

Ever since we went to a birthday party for a friend back in November, Jacob has been talking about his 3 year party.  Originally, he said he wanted an "Orange" party and I was unsure how we would pull that off.  But, luckily for us, he changed his mind and wanted a football party.  Thank you Jacob for picking something that would be totally easy to decorate (since the Super Bowl is right around the corner).  Ha!  So here's the pictures from his "Football Party!"

January Journals: Day 27

Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth...

For Jacob's birthday we got tickets to the circus!  We have been talking about it with him for a while and he was very excited about going to the circus for his birthday.  He talked about seeing the Elephants mostly.  And...his favorite part was the Elephants.  In fact, he said they were "the best."  Here's some pictures from the evening!
